Handsome Old Oval Locket & Unusual Chain

Handsome Old Oval Locket & Unusual Chain. This old oval locket and fancy chain stands out amongst others, with a handsome design on the locket-front (plain reverse), and hand-engraved details on the silver balls in the ball-and-link chain (also plain on their reverse side).  The chain measures approximately 18" in length, and fastens with a bolt ring fastener at the front of the necklace, where the locket is also hung from.  The locket measures approximately 2.5" in length, including the top bale, and just shy of 1.5" in width.  The locket is hinged to the left, and opens to a space for either two photographs, or with sufficient depth to hold a lock of hair, or similar, if so desired.  The overall weight of this piece, locket and chain together, is approximately 42.3gms.  This is a personal favourite!
