Amazing 1920s Solitaire Diamond Ring, Approx. 2.22cts


This solitaire diamond ring, with diamond-set shoulders, is truly amazing. The solitaire diamond weighs approx. 2.22cts and measures approx. 7.5mms in diameter. It is a beautiful, old, 1920s rose-cut (European-cut), and is set in a simple but substantial four-claw setting, showing the stone off superbly. There are a further six small diamonds, three on each shoulder of the ring. These weigh approx. 0.12cts in total and are set in charming square mille-grain edged settings along with some further detail on each of the shoulders. The ring is white throughout, is marked '900 PLAT 100 IRID' to indicate that it is platinum with 10% iridium, and it tests as platinum. The overall weight of the ring is approx. 4.3gms.
